You will be involved in advising institutional managers, sponsors, trustees and investors on a wide range of collective investment schemes and funds encompassing private equity funds, real estate investment trusts, hedge funds, unit trusts, structured products and exchange traded funds, focused in Singapore, the People's Republic of China, Japan, India and Pan-Asia.
You will be involved in the full range of banking and financial legal services such as structuring loan transactions, syndications, compliance and advisory work amongst others, both in Singapore and overseas.
You will be involved in mergers, acquisitions, public takeovers, divestments, schemes of arrangements or amalgamation and business combination exercises involving public and private companies operating in a diverse range of industries both in and outside Singapore. You will also be involved in joint ventures and corporate restructuring exercises as well as liaising with the Singapore Exchange, Monetary Authority of Singapore, Securities Industry Council and Competition Commission of Singapore on regulatory matters.
You will be involved in transactions relating to real estate investment trusts, acquisitions, divestments, joint development ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. You will also be involved in advising on acquisitions and disposal of shares in property holding companies and corporate structuring.
You will be involved in debt capital fund raising transactions (whether under standalone issues or a programme) including plain vanilla bonds, convertible and exchangeable bonds, retail structured debt instruments, and structured finance transactions including securitisations, derivatives and other synthetic products.
You will be involved in advising issuers and underwriters on initial public offerings and listings of companies on the Singapore Exchange. You will also assist the listed clients in other equity fund-raising exercises such as rights issues, private placements and the issue of convertible securities, and provide advice on their continuing listing requirements relating to matters such as capitalisation issues, the adoption of employee share schemes and privatisations.
You will have opportunities to be involved in the full spectrum of contentious work (including domestic and international arbitration) or be placed in teams focusing on specific areas of specialist litigation.
We are looking for law degree holders from reputable overseas universities who have obtained practising certificates from foreign countries. Candidates must have obtained a few years' experience practising in a foreign law firm or an in-house position with international firms. Our Foreign Law Consultants take on advisory roles in foreign law matters, and work closely with our lawyers.
To qualify, you must be a law degree holder from a reputable university. No previous working experience in a legal environment is required. Working alongside our lawyers and aided by a strong professional support team, our Legal Executives undertake challenging roles that draw heavily on their legal qualifications.
We are looking for mid to senior level lawyers with substantive experience in construction and infrastructure work. The candidate will possess a proven track record in litigation and arbitration relating to construction disputes. Experience in front end documentation and familiarity with the major standard forms of contracts used in international construction will be advantageous. The candidate must be qualified to the Malaysian Bar.
This role is based in our Doha, Qatar office, although subject to exigencies of work, travel within the Middle East and to Singapore will be required.
